Guide to Blood Seeker

Introduction

Imbued with shamanistic and demonic powers, Strygwyr is able to replenish his health with the lives he takes, as well as sense weakened souls which allow him to go into a blood frenzy, increasing his movement speed so he can chase down the enemy; if the hunted attempts to escape, Strygwyr will curse him to lose health if he moves. Up close and personal, the Bloodseeker can empower himself to almost double his damage, becoming on par even with the toughest fighters.

25. Blood Rage

Skill Build Justification:

1 > Blood rage at lv1 for the 6 seconds silence and 120 damage 'nuke'

2 > Skill Blood Bath at lv2, 3 and 5 early to help with laning.

3 > 1 lv of Thirst at lv 4 for chance of early first blood attempt.

4 > This build focus on Blood Rage is use solely for the silence. The skill is remain at lv1 almost throughout the whole game. Since the nerf additional lv in Blood Rage only increase the duration by 1 seconds.

5 > Thirst only skill to lv 3 early because the Item build has Yasha which provide 10% ms. Yasha(10%) and lv 3 Thirst (33%) provides 43% ms. Resulting in total MS with Treads 365 + 365*43% = 522 ms.

6 > Rupture is skilled whenever possible.

7 > With this build, Strygwyr will have 6 skills of stats by lv16 providing +12 to all stats.

8> Do not underestimate Stats. This is almost equavalent to some Heroes' Ultimate which provides Stats *hint*centaur*hint*drow*hint*.

Core Item Build:

Poor Man Shield - 550
Power Treads - 1450
Manta Style - 4900
Diffusal Blade - 3300/4150(upgraded)

Total Cost: 10200/11050

Core Item Build Justification:

Why Manta Style?

1 > Lets start with the DPS calculation for Strygwyr assumming he is able to farm for Manta Style by lv13.
Strygwyr has an starting average base damage of 56 and starting agility of 24 and gain 2.6 agility per level.

Quote:
Lv13 Strygwyr + 3 lvs Lvs in stats + PMS + Power Treads
Damage = 93.2 + 6 = 99.2
Agility = 61.2 + 6 = 67.2
IAS = 25%

Attack per second = (1+0.672+0.25)/1.7 = 1.1306
DPS = 99.2 * 1.1306 = 112.15

Quote:
Lv13 Strygwyr + 3 lvs Lvs in stats + PMS + Agi Power Treads + Manta
Damage = 99.2 + 10 + 26 = 135.2
Agility = 67.2 + 10 + 26 = 103.2
IAS = 40%

Attack per second = (1+1.032+0.4)/1.7 = 1.4306
DPS = 135.2 * 1.4306 = 193.42

Attack per second for images = (1+1.032)/1.7 = 1.1953
DPS for images = 125.2 * 0.66 * 1.1953 = 98.77

Total DPS = 292.19

Additional DPS = 292.19 - 112.15 = 180.04
Gold per additional DPS = 4900/180.04 = 27.22
2 > Defensive wise, Manta also provide 10 Str (or equavalent to 10 more Agi if you change to Agi Tread), 26 Agi (equavalent to 3.64 Armor) and 2 images that is effective againts single target nuke, single target disable or single target auto attack.

3 > Manta also provide the intimidating factor with its two illusions that synergizes well with Blood rage Silence and Rupture that will damage the enemy if they run.

4> The weakness of Manta is AOE. Strygwyr is able to cover this weakness because he is able to silence AOE casters with Bloodrage.

5> Rupture will be able to hold the opponent while Syrygwyr pound the opponent together with his Illusions.

Why Diffusal Blade?

1 > Diffusal Blade is the best item to increase the DPS for Strygwyr after completed Manta Style.

2 > It provide 20/36(upgraded) feedback damage to Strygwyr and both his illusions basically skyrocket Strygwyr DPS.

3 > One note of using purge, do not cast Blood Rage on the opponent then purge. The purge will dispel the Blood Rage.

4 > Lets begin with the DPS calculation for Strygwyr assumming he is able to farm for Diffusal Blade by lv17.

Starting Item Build:

Stout Shield - 250
Slippers of Agility - 150
Healing Salve x 2 - 200

Total Cost: 600

Starting Item Build Justification:

Q> Why not start with Quelling Blade? It help with Strygwyr last hits.

A> It only helps your last hit but do not help your denies as Thirst also benefits from denies. Its better to rush for PMS that provide +6 damage that helps both last hits and denies and protect againts Heroes physical harassments.

Furthermore Strygwyr can buy Quelling Blade from the side shops after complete PMS. Healing salve cannot be bought from the side shops.

Monkey King Bar - 5400

Lets begin with the damage calculation for MKB.

Damage = 99.2 + 80 + 100*0.35 = 214.2
Agility = 67.2
IAS = 40%

Attack per second = (1+0.672+0.4)/1.7 = 1.2188

DPS = 174.2 * 1.1306 * 1.48 (buriza critical)= 291.49

Additional DPS = 291.49 - 112.15 = 179.34
Gold per additional DPS = 5800/153.5 = 32.34

Extended Item:

Butterfly - 6000

Butterfly is a no brainer for Agi Carries. Get this if the game extended.
Quote:
Optional Item:

Quelling Blade - 225

Get this only whenever Strygwyr start jungling. It will help his jungling tremendously. I put this in optional just in case Strygwyr only farm Heroes.

Game Play

Quote:
Early Game:

1> This is when the laning phase happens.

2> Strygwyr can Harass opponent Heroes with bloodrage. Its basically a 120 damage 'nuke' which cost 80 mana. One of the best damage to mana ratio nuke at Lv1.

3> Do not overused Blood Rage, save some mana for Rupture.

4> Other than that just focus on last hits and denies to regain HP through Blood Bath. Just play defensively.

5> Strygwyr can aim for a first blood if the opponent make a mistake because of over aggresiveness with Strygwyr Thirst.

6> Other than that, just keep on focus on last Hits and Denies while healing with Blood Bath.

7> Note than Blood Bath do not work on illusions.
Quote:
Mid Game:

1> This is when most of the gank happens.

2> For Strygwyr, try to balance between Ganking, Jungling and Farming

3> Lead the gank only when Rupture is not on cooldown and there is a reliable ally ganking with you.

4> Try to be nearby when fights occur so that Strygwyr can finish off the straggler with Thirst.

5> Otherwise farm lanes when the creep line is near your tower. Jungle/Ancient when creep line has been pushed far into opponent territories.

6> Always aware of opponent Hero <40% farming in the jungle through Thirst.

7> During Ganks, Silence with Blood Rage and Rupture when opponent starts to run. Rupture can also be used as an escape tool.

8> When Strygwyr has Diffusal Blade, do not hesitate to use the Purge. Besides slowing and dispeling, use purge to destroy Summoned Units to earn the extra gold and instant Heal with Blood Bath.

9> Thirst can be used to attack invisible Hero <40% HP if Strygwyr has been ordered to attack the Hero before he/she turned invisible.

10> Look at the Minimap to know where the invisible Hero with <40% HP run to.
Quote:
Late Game:

1> This is when most team fights happens.

2> Most importantly, do not rush head on to the battle. Engage from the side/back after the battle started/initiated.

3> Silence the opponent chain AOE caster with Blood Rage.

4> Purge to Dispel any Buff on the opponent Carry or Purge to destroy the main summoned unit if available.

5> Activate Manta and Focus on the Opponent Carry.

6> Rupture on opponent Hero that tried to run.

7> Hope that your team provide enough support to Strygwyr that enable him to Carry the team to victory.
